Turnout down from 2008? Too soon to tell

Leading Republican pollster Bill McInturff is cautioning analysts to not jump to the conclusion that voter turnout in Tuesday’s election was down from 2008. As of Thursday, about 119.4 million votes had been counted in the presidential election – compared to a total vote in the 2008 presidential election of 131 million. But not all the votes cast in the 2012 election have been counted yet, McInturff said.
