Republicans protest Obama inaction on entitlements but ignore previous proposals

As Republicans position themselves in their wrestling match with President Barack Obama, their refrain has been that the president must be the one to propose cost-cutting reforms to the government’s entitlement programs which now account for 42 percent of all federal spending.
